Obituary

Raymond James Comoglio, Sr., 95, of Indianapolis, passed away Oct. 3, 2015. The son of Charles and Frances Ruffato Comoglio, Raymond was born April 15, 1920 in Benld, Illinois.

Raymond graduated from the Rolla School of Mines, Rolla, Missouri (University of Missouri) with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific. After 29 years, he retired from Allied Chemical. He then worked for FMC Corporation for five years. He had been a member of the American Legion, and enjoyed going to the Greenwood Senior Citizens Center to play cards. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing pinochle and watching his Chicago Cubs.

He married Olga Benedetti Comoglio on December 24, 1941; she preceded him in death on July 4, 1996. Raymond is survived by two sons, Ronald Comoglio (Myrna) of Indianapolis and Rick Comoglio (Sue) of Deerfield Beach, Florida; daughter-in-law, Caryle Comoglio of Kokomo; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandson. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond, Jr. and Russell Comoglio, a grandson, Roger Comoglio and half-brother, Danny Terro.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. October 7, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. October 6, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
