Elder Raymond "Pa" M. Wise, 95, of Whiteland, passed away November 11, 2020 surrounded by the angels of the Lord. Pa was born on February 25, 1925 in Neon, Kentucky. He married the love of his life, Virginia Jewell Lyles (deceased) on December 20, 1947. Together, they had one child, Valerie Kay (deceased) in 1954. Pa was a World War II Army veteran who loved his country. He worked as a machinist at Allison and retired after 30 years of service in 1981. Pa was a member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church for 36 years where he was ordained into the full work of the ministry on February 26, 1994. He loved the Lord and could often be found reading his Bible or listening to gospel music. Pa was an also an avid and excellent hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his son-in-law, Jerry Patterson of Whiteland, two grandsons, Matthew Wayne (Katrina) Patterson of Indianapolis, Bartholomew Ray (Anna) Patterson of Greenwood and one great grandson Matthew Wayne Patterson Jr.

Funeral swill be conducted at 11:00am, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Elder Andrew Horton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Monday, November 16, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
