Reba J. Bensheimer, age 81, of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of Boggstown, IN passed away April 12, 2011. She was born March 27, 1930 in Shelby County to Joseph Carl and Vera (Woolman) Ferrell. She married Travis E. Bensheimer in 1948 and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2004. She retired from LeClaire Grade School in Edwardsville, IL where she was the assistant librarian. Reba attended Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville and was a member of Edwardsville Senior Citizens. Reba is survived by her sons, Mark A. and Dennis W. (Merlena) Bensheimer; brother Jack (Sharon) Ferrell; sister Bonnie Lloyd; grandchildren, Janelle and David Nyman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter, Connie Nyman. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is Friday, April 15 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family request Memorial Contributions to the American Heart Association.
