Rebecca Louise McCabe, age 93, of New Whiteland, passed away January 29, 2011. She was born December 4, 1917 in Cedar Bluff, Mississippi to Lawrence G. and Mary A. (Tribble) McLemore. Louise was a homemaker and former member of Whiteland United Methodist Church as well as the Optimist Club. She loved to garden, cook and was an avid reader. She also loved to spend time with her family. Louise is survived by her sons, Alan (Regina), and Michael McCabe; daughters Margaret L. (James) Dukes and Jean (Jeffery) Caplinger; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one step great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul McCabe, one daughter, Janet Marie and one grandson. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 3, at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is from Noon to service time on Thursday. The family requests memorial contributions to the charity of one''s choice.
