Obituary

Rena Madeline White, Greenwood, IN, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025. She was 87 years old. Rena was born in Lee, MA, to her parents Antonio and Teresa Capitanio. Rena grew up one of fourteen children and always loved being a part of her large Italian family. She graduated from Lee High School, class of 1957. Rena married her husband, Adrian "Buzz" White Sr, on March 26, 1960, in upstate New York, and they shared 65 years of marriage together.

Rena worked for General Electric in the accounts payable department for twenty one years. She later worked for General Dynamics as an expeditor until her retirement in 1996. Rena spent most of her life in Massachusetts and moved to Indiana to be close to her son Tony, Cindy and granddaughters. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church with her husband for over twenty-five years.


Rena enjoyed working on crafts and gifting them to family and friends. She also loved cooking for her family, especially making gnocchi and risotto as well as other classic Italian dishes. She was deeply family-oriented and loved reminiscing about her childhood and the time she spent growing up with her siblings. Rena will be remembered for her innate ability to talk to anyone about anything, her warm personality, and her love for her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Rena is survived by her husband Adrian "Buzz" White Sr; her children, Anthony "Tony" (Cindy) White and Adrian (Doris) White Jr.; her grandchildren, Darcy (Adam) Morris and Sylvia (Andrew) McGuire; her great-grandchild, Anthony Morris and her several nieces and nephews.


Rena is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Mario, Antoinette, Fredrico, Mary, George, Leo, Anthony, Theresa, Helena, Margaret, Patricia, Joseph and Katherine.


A visitation for Rena will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church from10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
