Reuben "Pete" C. Ogden, 91, passed away July 5, 2015 at his Greenwood residence. The son of Guy and Lola Lyon Ogden, Pete was born January 14, 1924 in New Liberty, Kentucky.
Pete was a member of Glenns Valley United Methodist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite. After 37 years, he retired in 1979 as a systems analyst from Allison Transmission. Pete enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling. His skills in woodworking lead him to custom build the kitchen cabinets in his home. He and Margaret enjoyed traveling.
On September 15, 1953, Pete married Margaret Helen Purpura, she survives. Other survivors include his sons, Richard (Cindy) Ogden of Sandy, Utah and Guy (Jennifer) Ogden of Bargersville; daughter, Cindy Ogden of Franklin; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by daughter, Cheryl Jedamzik; brothers, Chester and Wilburn "Dick" Ogden and sisters, Thelma Bishop and Nadine Little.
No visitation or services are planned. Private inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
