Richard D. Batts, 64 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 24, 2022. He was born to the late Louis and Beulah Batts.

Richard loved hanging out with the boys in the garage on Sunday watching NASCAR. His biggest love was those grandchildren. During the summer you would find Richard on his boat at the lake.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Candy; his children Nicholas Bryant, Tracy (Nate) Flannery and Shannon Batts (Marsell Smith); 12 grandchildren Cody, Novalea, Jayden, Angelina, Camille, Janaya, Jordyn, Mason, Lilly, Jayce, Marsell, Jr. and Journey and three siblings Alan Batts, Clara Martin and Christine Smith. He is preceded in death by both parents.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
