Richard "Dick" E. Stone, Indianapolis, passed away on the evening of March 29, 2023. He was 90 years old. Dick was born in Indianapolis, IN to his parents Oscar and Lorena Stone. He graduated from Southport High School, class of 1951. On Good Friday, March 31, 1972, Dick married his wife, Ann, and they shared 51 years of marriage together.
Dick worked as a mechanic for Link Belt and retired after 33 years of service. Dick was a member of both the Shriner Society and the FreeMasons; he belonged to the Franklin Lodge 107. Dick loved model cars and watching television. Dick also loved wrestling and enjoyed watching matches on TV in his spare time. In his younger days, Dick enjoyed going to casinos to play cards. Dick adored his wife, Ann, more than anything and the memories created will now be cherished by those he leaves behind.
Dick is survived by his wife; his children Debbie Brown and Libby Parnell; his step-children, Mary Ganzel, Johnny Hornaday and Rick Hornaday; his several grandchildren; his several great grandchildren; his several great great grandchildren; his several nieces and nephews.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents; his children, Becky Grider, Rick Stone and Connie Sechman; his brothers, Oscar Stone Jr., and Ival Stone.
There will be no services at this time.
