Richard D. Green, 75, of Naples, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 9, 2007 after a long illness. He had been a resident of Naples for over 20 years. Richard was born on October 7, 1931 in Indianapolis, IN where he had resided prior to moving to Naples. He retired from Weimer Type Setting Co. after 35 years of service. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War from 1953-1955. He was a member of the Indianapolis Power Squaadron. Richard also attended the First Baptist Church in Beech Grove. He is survived by his loving wife of over 33 years, Elizabeth; his six children, Dawn Schlenz, Duane Green, Andrew Green, Jonathan Green, Elaine Minton and Judy Hamilton; his sister, Eloise Mueller of Naples; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannine Green. Visitation will be Sunday July 22, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN. Services will be Monday July 23, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
