Richard "Dick" Lee Hasselburg, 87, of Indianapolis passed away January 8, 2021.  He was born in Indianapolis July 15, 1933 to the late Charles and Anna (Byrne) Hasselburg.

Dick proudly served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1953 where he served as a Prison guard in Norman, Oklahoma.  He then worked for many years with Tractor Supply Company and eventually retired from there.  Dick was an amazing man who loved the Lord with all his heart.  He and his wife of 68 years, Vera, were devoted to their church.  Dick would also gather neighbors in his driveway and preach to them on Sundays.  Dick cared for his friends in the neighborhood, acting as a father figure to many of the children.  He was a wonderful husband and a good father.  He loved his family dearly and worked hard for them all his life.  Dick will be missed by many.

Dick is survived by his wife, Vera; sons Mike (Brenda) Hasselburg, Rick Hasselburg, and Ronald Davis; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles and Peg; and his son, Jeff.

Family will receive friends from 4:00pm - 6:00pm Thursday, January 14 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dick's name may be made to the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 West 10th Street (135) Indianapolis, IN 46202-2884.
