Richard L. Moore, age 79, of New Whiteland, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010. He was born in Beech Grove, on November 1, 1930 to Russell and Clara (McAtee) Moore. Richard was an Army Korean Conflict veteran. He happily retired from Grassy Creek Elementary in 2000. He loved to play the clarinet and was a member of the Greenwood Community Band and the Shriner Band. He married Coliene Evans and she survives him along with his son, Mark Moore and his wife Betty, of NC, and daughter, Christina Moore and her companion Leah Martin of Indianapolis. His brother, Robert Moore and his wife, Sue, of Greenfield, also survive. Funeral services will be Friday, February 26, at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from Noon to service time at 2:00PM.In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Humane Society of Johnson Co.
