Richard Witt, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away October 19, 2014. The son of Gaines and Iva Mae Phillips Witt, Richard was born in New Point, Indiana.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked in sales, which included working for Stroh's Brewery Company and for Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Richard was a member of Southport United Methodist Church, volunteered for two years at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. He also donated funds and clothing to the Fletcher Place Community.

Richard is survived by his wife, Lillian Ann Sage Witt of Indianapolis, whom he married on June 15, 1963; daughters, Iva C. Boyd of Indianapolis and Deanna (Robert) Trickle of Greenwood; grandsons, Ross J. Boyd and Presley T. Witt.

Rev. Danny Thomas will officiate at funeral services 1:00 p.m. October 23, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 12:00 noon to service time. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
