Ricky Dale Burkhart, 52, of Greenwood, passed away October 5, 2013. The son of Garfield Jr. and Wilma Jean Stines Burkhart, Ricky was born January 25, 1961 in Harlan, Kentucky.

Ricky was an autobody repairman for the former Johnson''s Body Shop. Ricky was a member of ABATE of Indiana and the Mars Hill Charity Riders. He enjoyed riding motorcycles.

Ricky is survived by his companion of 31 years, Janet R. LeMay of Greenwood; father, Garfield Burkhart, Jr.; brothers, David and Darryl Burkhart, both of Indianapolis; sisters, Jannie Mosier of Kennard, IN, Jackie Miller and Phyllis Fultz, both of Indianapolis. Besides his mother, Ricky was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy, Benny and Jerry Burkhart.

Funeral services 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2013 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with Pastor Ford Glover officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00 p.m. Private inurnment at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association - 6415 Castleway West Drive, Suite 114 Indianapolis, Indiana 46250 or to the American Heart Association - 3816 Paysphere Circle Chicago, Illinois 60674.
