Robert E. Anderson, Sr., 73, of Indianapolis, passed away November 1, 2012. The son of Abner A. and Alberta M. Damaree Anderson, Robert was born October 23, 1939 in Indianapolis.

A U.S. Army veteran, Robert was a member of Woodside United Methodist Church, Teamsters Union Local 135 and American Legion Post 348. He retired from Sysco Foods as a warehouseman.

Services 1:00 p.m. November 6, 2012 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. November 5, 2012. Burial with military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Fivecoat Anderson; son, Robert E. (Corina) Anderson, Jr.; daughters, Sherri K. (Vernon) Stidd, Darla "Red" Anderson (Joe Gilliland), Kelly J. Anderson (David James) and Tamara D. Miles (Frank Chaney); brothers, Albert "Bud", James "Jim" and Theodore "Ted" Anderson; 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild.
