Robert Black, 86, passed away in Mooresville IN September 1, 2007 with his family at his side. Robert was born Aug 27, 1921, in Indianapolis IN. He retired from Western Electric Installation. He attended St.Thomas More Catholic Church in Mooresville IN and St. Paul's Catholic Church in Leesburg FL., and was a Charter member of the Knights of Columbus Monsignor Downey Council #3660. Robert served his country in the US Army Signal Corp. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy L. Black (Oliver) and children, James (Carolyn) Black, Cynthia (David) Warnick, Teresa Black, Robert (Deborah) Black and Kathleen (David) Janneck, 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo L. Black, his mother Ruth K. Haufler Black, his step mother Anna Marie Fitzpatrick Black, brother Paul Black and sister Lavon Burge. Prayer Service will be held Friday, September 7, 2007 at 7PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church located at 1200 N Indiana St, Mooresville IN 46158. Reverend Mark Gottemoeller will preside over the Mass of Christian Burial to be held Saturday, September 8, 2007 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 10 AM. The family invites all relatives and friends to join us in worship, and then share remembrances in the Social Hall immediately following the service.
