Robert (Bob) J. Bleemel, 45, died June 11, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Bob was born in Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Betty (McDowell) Bleemel of Dubois, IN. Survivors include his wife, Karen Gerlach Bleemel of Martinsville; two sons, Thomas (Tommy) and William (Willy) and daughter, BethAnn of Martinsville; father, Herman Bleemel of Jasper; brother, Steve Bleemel of Indianapolis; and sister, Cathy Lockridge of Evansville IN. Bob graduated from Franklin Central HS in Wanamaker, IN in 1984 and attended Ivy Tech. He married Karen Gerlach, July 30, 1988 at Mount Pleasant Christian Church, Greenwood, IN. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 18 years and was a member of Local #103. Past employers were Furrows, Martin Marietta, Reith-Riley and was self-employed. Bob loved building cabinets, doing woodwork, and operating his own cabinet business. He took pleasure in gardening and four wheeling with his children. He enjoyed attending local auctions and working with engines and anything mechanical. He especially enjoyed helping neighbors and friends when ever needs arose. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00, Friday, June 18 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. Reverend Rick Miller, pastor of Eastview Christian Church, Martinsville, will conduct the funeral service at 2:00, Saturday, June19. Memorial contributions maybe made to College Choice, an educational fund for the Bleemel children, 732 Clyde Drive, Greenwood, IN 46143-9025.
