Obituary

Robert "Bob" Louis Stevenson, 80, of Greenwood, passed away April 29, 2016. The son of James Jr. and Barbara E. Eden Stevenson, Bob was born May 29, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

After high school, he attended Purdue University. Bob served in the Indiana National Guard. A mechanical engineer, he retired from Labico Equipment. Previously, he had worked for Allison's and the former Buehler Jet Boats - now Indiana Gear. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Demolay Rifle Club and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and mushroom hunting. He enjoyed fixing things, such as, lawn mowers, tractors and chainsaws. He especially enjoyed "The Cabin".

Bob is survived by his wife, Marlene R. Lutz Stevenson of Greenwood, whom he married on October 5, 1956; son, Brian L. (Susan) Stevenson of Greenwood; daughter Dianna L. (Kurt) Vleck of Trafalgar; brother, John (Karen) Stevenson of Anderson; sisters, Mary Jane Radar of Camby and Barbara Jean Stewart of Mooresville; grandchildren, Andy and Jamie Stevenson, Rachel Arnett, Derek and Walker Vleck; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Ruger Vleck and Harper Ann Arnett. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy Stevenson and James Stevenson and sister, Margaret Jines.

Funeral services 12:00 p.m. May 3, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
