Robert "Bob" Lee West, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away January 11, 2013. The son of Stephen and Myrtle Pickett West, Robert was born August 31, 1928 in Bicknell, Indiana.

A shop superintendent with ABF Freightliners, he retired in 1990. Bob was a member of Teamsters Local #135, where he served as union steward. He attended Southside Bible Church.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. January 16, 2013 and one hour prior to services at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where Pastor Allen Pierce and Mike Dragon will officiate at funeral services 11:00 a.m. January 17, 2013. Burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.

Survivors include his daughters, Deborah (Jim) Shrum, Rebecca (Jim) Sommers and Marcy Rinear; sister, Delores Loman; 10 grandchildren, Kimberlea Neely, Jamie Spitler, Robert Shrum, Bradley Shrum, Kristi Emmett, Julie Snyder, Ryan Sommers, Evan Sommers, McKenzie Rinear and Emily Rinear; 15 great grandchildren, Morgan Neely, Taylor Neely, Sydney Neely, Trevor Neely, Kailyn Spitler, Luke Spitler, Emerson Spitler, Braden Shrum, Brinley Shrum, Brenden Shrum, Bryce Shrum, Grant Snyder, Garrett Snyder, Hailey Sommers and Kylie Sommers; and special friend, Rita England. Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice May and son, Gary Lee West; brothers, Stephen, Raymond, Frank and Paul West and sisters, Helen Goode, Clara Russell and Shirley Self.
