Robert L. Downey, 44, of Indianapolis, passed away March 23, 2015.
He was born November 10, 1970 in Indianapolis. On June 2, 1990, he married Rebecca (Raney). Robert was a 1989 graduate of Emmerich Manuel High School, and was a Veteran of the United States Army serving from 1990 - 1996, as a Sgt. E - 5. He worked as a vendor representative for American Merchandising Company. An avid sports fan, Robert especially enjoyed hockey, Colts football, and late model figure eight racing.

He is survived by his parents, Rufus and Patricia Downey; wife, Rebecca: son, Kyle Downey; daughter, Cassie Downey; three brothers, Allan L. James, Tony K. Downey and Joseph A. Downey; three sisters, Melody L. Perry, Doris J. Cleaver, and Cathy S. Enochs.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
