Robert E. Lee, 85, of Whiteland passed away June 12, 2018. He was born October 27, 1932 in Shelby County, IN to Clarence and Nelly (Sheperd) Lee.

Robert proudly served his country in the US Navy in the Korean War on the ammunition ship USS Firedrake. He then worked for Arvin Industries until his retirement. He married the love of his life, Janet Malin on June 20, 1957 and were married for 53 years until her passing in 2010. They had 2 children, Tammy (Donald) Houshour of Franklin, IN and Denis Lee of Whiteland. Robert enjoyed fishing, yard work, gardening and NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Malin Lee; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Robert is survived by his children, Tammy (Donald) Houshour and Denis Lee; grandchildren, DJ (LeAnn), Darryl and Brandon Lee and Tony Houshour and Rachel (Chuck) Thomas; great grandchildren, Kaiden, Cooper, Jordan and Jackson Lee and Whitley (Austin) Wilhite and one great great grandchild, Maddix Wilhite.
