Robert D. Garmon Sr., passed away September 24, 2014. Born December 22, 1932 in Cullman, Alabama, he was the son of the late James H. and Gladys (Graves) Garmon. Robert was a truck driver for Sears in Indianapolis and retired after thirty years of service. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by a son, Robert D. (Christine) Garmon Jr.; five daughters, Debra Hubbard, Dawn (Steve) Schott, Diane Patrick, Denise (Greg) Brackett and Darlene (Jerry) Gilliam; four brothers, Hudson, John, Van, and Barry Garmon; four sisters, Nell Kucejko, Evelyn Rigsby, Virginia Fowler and Dean O''Connor; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty one years Mary, and a brother James D. Garmon. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday September 26, 2014 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South S.R. 135, Greenwood, IN. Friends may call from 12:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
