Robert E. Montgomery
74, of Indianapolis died Saturday, October 16, 2010. Robert was born to the late Oliver Charles and Minnie Aleda Cain Montgomery on November 3, 1935 in Indianapolis. He married Rose Fields on January 25, 1957 and she survives. Robert worked for over 40 years with L.S. Ayres and later for 11 years Best Buy. Surviving with his wife is a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Clarence Cook; grandchildren, Michael Jonathan and his wife, Patricia King Montgomery, Geri Marie Cook, and Victoria Rose Cook; one great-grandson, Keynin Nicholson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arvine Martin, Kenneth Oliver Montgomery; sister, Mary Frances Montgomery; one son, Robert James Montgomery. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135 Greenwood, Indiana 46143. Funeral Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
