Robert "Bob" Bryan Pace, 88, was called to his eternal home on August 28, 2015. Mr. Pace was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 12, 1927 to Bryan and Hazel (Daugherty) Pace. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1945 and attended Butler University. He was employed at RCA, where he worked as a tool and die maker for 45 years until 1992. Mr. Pace was a veteran of the United States Army from January 1946 to July 1947 and served our country in Occupational Germany. He was a Freemason and belonged to Bargersville Masonic Lodge F&AM #679, the Grand Lodge of Indiana, and was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. He took great pleasure in traveling, working crossword puzzles, and cherished the time he spent with his family. Married on March 28, 1948, he was the beloved husband of Violet Virginia Pace for over 64 years.
She preceded him in death on September 8, 2012.
Bob will forever be remembered by his children, Diane Bunch (Michael), Robert Pace (Nancy), Cindy Ingram, Debbie Embry (Chris) and Kathy Grismore. He loved his 13 grandchildren, Keith Bunch, Trent Bunch, Mark Cloud, Shawn Cloud, Gary Ingram, Joshua Pace, Andrew Cartwright, Justin Piersall, Jacob Piersall, Abigail Piersall, Myranda Grismore, Savannah Embry and Alia Embry. Bob was blessed with 12 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Pace, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pace was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia; a sister, Mary Hart; three brothers, William, Joseph and Benjamin Pace; a grandson, Todd Bunch and son-in-law, Gary Ingram. Bob was a wonderful father and granddad. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South S.R. 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
