Robert (Bob) Gibbs Jr. 77 of Estero, Florida, formerly of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025. Bob was born October 23, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio.

He was a graduate of University of Michigan, and after his military service in the United States Air Force, was a Meteorologist for the National Weather Service for 33 years.

Bob will be remembered for his kindness and the way he cared for others.  He enjoyed cooking and loved to find a good bargain.  Whether he was at home or traveling in the motorhome, if there was a Michigan football game on television, he was sure to be watching.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Naomi of 44 years, his stepson, Ronald Harrell, step daughter Vivian Ward, grandson Jason Ward (Krissie), and two great-grandsons, Ronald and Ryan Ward, all of which are from Greenwood, Indiana. He is also survived by his sister Jeanette Schweer of Grand Haven Michigan, a niece, and three nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, Robert and Virginia Gibbs, his daughter Steffenie Gibbs, step-daughter Vicki Hankla, and sister Barbara J. Hall Guy.

Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2025 from 1:00 until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.  A funeral service will begin at 2:00 at the funeral home.  Robert will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
