Robert E. Ruoff, age 88, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 8, 1922 in Morgantown, Indiana to George and Gertrude (Zook) Ruoff. Bob was a U.S. Army WW II and Korean Conflict Veteran. He was a fifty year member of Morgantown Masonic Lodge #358. He was employed by Eli Lilly for 38 years, retiring in 1983, and spending the next 28 years enjoying traveling and spending time with his extended family. Bob married the former Barbara Ann Johnson on April 21, 1946 and she survives along with one son, Bruce (Nancy) Ruoff; three daughters, Sandra (Wayne) Taubken, Teresa (Lynn) Carlson, and Jennifer (Marc) Westfall; 2 brothers, Stanley Ruoff, Phillip Ruoff; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren. Bob and Barbara cherished the many years they spent attending Southport Baptist, Greenwood Community and Southland Community Churches. He was a loving prayer warrior for his entire family. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
