Robert Nelson "Bob" Terry, age 96, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was born March 3, 1921 in Indianapolis to John Milton and Eliza Moore (Turner) Terry. He was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School with the Class of 1939. Bob was a World War II Army Air Corps Sergeant with the 720th Bomb Squadron, also known as "The Cottontails" and received many commendations from campaigns in Italy, France and Germany. He was an avid photographer who loved trains and airplanes. He also enjoyed studying genealogy and ancestry. He worked and retired from Naval Avionics in Indianapolis as a Lab Technician.

Bob married the love of his life, the former Mary Fleenor on June 29, 1946 and together they celebrated 70 years of marriage. She survives him along with their sons, Stanley William (Sherry) Terry and, Phillip Alan (Janet) Terry, both of Indianapolis, Russell Lee (Dana) Terry of Whitmore Lake, MI, and Paul Stuart (June) Terry of Churchville, VA; daughters, Rebecca (Danny) Beers, of Spencer and Nicolette (Michael) Jasper, of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Milton Terry and sister, Violet Fraley.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Entombment will follow in the Veteran''s Mausoleum, Building #2.
