Robert E. Watson, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away February 5, 2015 at his residence. Born March 22, 1934 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Lola (Hammet) Watson. Robert retired from DuPont Chemical Company in 1984 after thirty eight years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Olive Branch American Legion Post # 1408. He enjoyed sports, especially the Pacers and Colts, and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his companion, Marsha Martz; sons, Patrick (Kimberly) Watson and Kevin Watson; a daughter, Keli Watson; a brother, Bernard Watson; a sister, Peggy Lambert, three Grandchildren, and two Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Joseph Watson. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday February 10, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday. Memorial contributions can be made to Gleaners Food Bank and / or the Marion County Humane Society.
