Robert Leon White, 80, of Greenwood, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007. He was born April 26, 1927, in Danville, Alabama to Philmore and Lois White, who have preceded him in death. Robert drove for Trailways Bus Lines for 33 years. He also worked for Rancho Alegre for 20 years, and he worked for Speedway Auto Parts in Mooresville for 5 years. He was a member of the New Whiteland Baptist Church. Robert was a life long member of Glens Valley Conservation Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Hershel and Willard White. Survivors include his wife, Joy White; children, Tesesa and Bill Kleinschmidt, Karen Bassett, Lynn and Mike Boyd, Jim and Carol White, Paula and Charlie Pridemore, Danny and Jeanie White, Pat and Debbie Hause, and David White; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Don and Carl White; sisters, Alice Blankenship and Barbara Grimes. Funeral services will be conducted Monday May 21st, at 11:00 AM in Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday May 20th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
