Roger "Jerry" J. Robinson, 66, of Beech Grove passed away December 30 ^th at his home.

He was the son of the late Orvil "Chuck" and Nell Robinson. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Diane; daughter and son in law, Jennifer (Tom) Avery as well as granddaughter, Aila. He is also survived by his brother, Mike; nephew, Greg; and nieces, Carla and Lori.

Married with a daughter, Jerry served in the Air Force from 1972 – 1976 while earning an X-ray certification. Upon leaving the military he earned his B.S. in Nuclear Medicine from Indiana University, working at Community Hospital as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from 1981 – 1990, then as a Radiation Safety Officer at Clarian Health from 1990 – 2003.

Jerry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Next to his family, he was a dog lover and dedicated owner of several throughout his lifetime including his beloved Meesha, Niki, Thor, Cooper and Annie. He loved walking the beaches of Florida finding shells as well as collecting music, watches and fast cars – the faster the better.

A private family committal service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. No flowers please. Donations may be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society or ever better, go adopt a dog who needs a good home.
