Ronald Raymond Clapper, 72, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away June 20, 2020.  He was born April 19, 1948 in Indianapolis to Marshall Henry and Flora Alice (Lee) Clapper.

Ron married the love of his life, Marjorie Kloss, on December 10, 1966 and they spent 52 wonderful years together and raised two boys, Tim and Dennis.  Ron worked for 45 years with United Technologies/Carrier Corporation on the assembly line.  He was also a member of the United Steelworkers Union, local 1999.  In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and was an avid bowler, playing with many leagues and earning many awards.  Ron was truly a family man and loved to spend time with them; every year they would vacation together in Panama City Beach, Florida.  Ron will be greatly missed.

Ron is survived by his wife, Marjorie Clapper; sons, Tim and Dennis Clapper; brothers, Allen Clapper, and Danny (Lori) Clapper; many nieces and nephews; and his boxers, Walter and Bella.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Clapper; and his beloved dog, Shiloh.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 24, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana  46143.  Funeral service will be Thursday, June 25 at 12:00pm, also at Forest Lawn Funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ron's name may be made to American Heart Association: https://www.heart.org/ .
