Ronald Wayne Patterson, of Greenwood, passed away on the early morning of Saturday, April 18, 2026. He was 81 years old. Ron was born in Indianapolis, IN to his parents Kenneth and Pearl Patterson. A graduate of Southport High School, Ron went on to work as an aircraft parts inspector at GM and Rolls Royce. His 45 year long career demonstrated his diligent work ethic. Ron married his wife, Janette, on July 27, 1964 and together they shared 61 years of marriage.

In his free time, Ron enjoyed golf leagues, traveled across the U.S. and Europe, and learned about his Scottish heritage. In the warmer months, Ron could be found taking care of his yard- mowing, weeding, gardening. As the year turned colder, he was likely watching the Colts- staying a steadfast fan through the ups and downs. Most of all, though, Ron was a family man who loved spending time with his grandkids, family holidays, and taking care of his french bulldog, Coco.

Ron is survived by his wife; his daughters: Christine (Robert) DeRose and Michelle (Jerry) Jones; his grandchildren: Sarah DeRose, Ben DeRose, Dustin (Laura) Jones, and Lindsey (fiancé Rich Haughton) Jones.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents.

He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
