Ronald Lee Wilson, Sr., 69, passed away at his residence on Friday, January 15, 2016. He was born November 3, 1946 to the late Ralph & Iva Wilson. On October 7, 1971, he was married to the love of his life, the late Shirley Wilson, in Indianapolis.

Ronnie worked hard his whole life to take care of his family. He loved his family and to play golf, gambling and fishing.

Ronnie is survived by his 6 kids: John S. Haley and Angela, Mount Pleasant, IA; Jenny S. Haley, Ponton Beach, IL; Shelby J. Isner and Belinda York, Indianapolis, IN; Ronald L. Wilson, Jr., Indianapolis, IN; Vera L. Proctor, Greencastle, IN; Benita (Bim) Scharfenberg and husband, Sam, Washington, MO; son in law, Joseph Merriman, Greenfield; sister, Sue Lund, Indianapolis; brother, Stanley Wilson and wife, Carol, Monrovia; 28 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and many other relatives and friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; daughter, Shelly Merriman; son-in-law, Norm Proctor; brother-in-law, Robert Lund.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with Rev. Danny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
