Ronnie Willard Turner, age 78, was called home to God on December 23, 2025. Dayton, OH, was Ronnie's birthplace. He was drafted to the Military and joined the Army and bravely served in the Vietnam War. Later, Ronnie was honorably discharged. Ronnie married Gayle Ann Tandy and started a loving family then moved to Indiana. He later married again, to Cindy Keller, and helped her raise four children. He primarily worked at American Legion Headquarters. Ronnie worked and loved hard. He always had second jobs to help support his family.
Ronnie was a devoted father, brother, and friend. He was a kind and loving soul, one that you can't find in many. He was the type of person you could talk to about anything, anytime. He always had something nice to say, made time to listen to others, and gave good advice when you needed it the most. Ronnie was a very religious man and went to church anytime he could. He loved to spend time at home, take care of his houseplants, and watch TV. Ronnie was known for enjoying fishing and enjoying scenic views. Ronnie also enjoyed playing cards and talking with his beloved family. Ronnie will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
Ronnie is survived by his son, Brian Lee (Toni) Turner of IN; his daughter, Ginger Louise (Jamie Bear) Turner Lamb of IN; his grandchildren, Destiny (Brad) Gerth of IN, Anthony Lamb of IN, Carissa (AJ Rush) Lamb of IN, Makayla Bear of IN, Jonah (Michele) Gershom of IN, Jacob Steinbrook of IN, Nicole Turner of FL; six great grandchildren; Sister, Linda (Robert, "Bob") Hillard of OH; his previous wife, Cindy Keller and children of IN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Ida Turner; his sister, Katie Lambert; brother, Roger Turner; previous wife, Gayle Ann Tandy.
A visitation for Ronnie will be held on Friday, January 2, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens immediately following the service.
