Rose Marie Coglaiti, 76, of Greenwood, IN died Saturday March 28, 2009 at her residence in Greenwood. She was born on April 20, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of Joseph and Victoria (Williams) DiBenedetto. On June 6, 1976 in Corpus Christi, TX she married Mark Coglaiti. Rose was a beloved wife for 33 years and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking Greek foods. She had a large vocabulary and enjoyed playing scrabble and was known as a speed reader. She was a member of Footprints at the Emmanuel Church of Greenwood. Surviving relatives include her loving husband Mark J. Coglaiti of Greenwood, IN; six daughters, Cathryn Jackson; Heather Wilson; of Texas; Sharon Sonier, Theresa Sullivan, and Angela Altom all of Louisiana; and Angelo Coglaiti of South Carolina; one sister, Ann Lavine of Illinois; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of additional family, friends and neighbors. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Victoria, one son Donald Coglaiti; a sister, Mary Ann DiBenedetto; and two grandchildren, Nicklos Frangakos and Brandy Sonier. A Funeral of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday April 2, 2009 at Emmanuel Church of Greenwood, IN 1640 W. Stones Crossing Road Greenwood, IN. Burial will be in the St. JohnsCemetery in Queens, New York. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1977 South State Road 135 Greenwood, IN. Memorial contributions can be made to the Benevolent fund at Emmanuel Church of Greenwood, American Diabetes Association, or the American Cancer Society in memory of Rose Marie Coglaiti.
