Rosemary "Rosie" Brown, 84, went home to be with her Lord and many of her family on Friday, March 15th.
Rosemary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family.
Rosemary grew up in Evansville, IN and sang in churches from age 5. She had a glorious perfect pitch soprano voice which she used to elevate people's hearts and souls. She was a member of the Beech Grove United Methodist Church where she led the high school youth group in the 1970s and sang in the choir.
She worked for and retired from the federal government keeping her bosses in line at the Draft Board, the Federal Railroad Administration and the Jefferson Proving Ground in Madison, Indiana where she was a computer specialist.
Rosemary is survived by her high school sweetheart and devoted husband of 65 years, William Brown Sr.; children William Brown Jr., Cheryl Brown and Cindy Glasscock; grandchildren Nikki Rice, Mathew Brown and Mary Rose Glasscock; step-grandchildren Ashley Ryen, Toby VanBuskirk, Jason Morrison, Charles Morrison and Daniell Stidham; and, great granddaughter Luci Rice. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Nola and Frank McNeely, brothers Daniel, Bobby and Marion McNeely, and sister, Ruth Topper.
Rosemary was well loved and adored by her husband and the entire family and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be at Forrest Lawn Funeral Home at 1977 S State Road 135, Greenwood on March 19th. Visitation 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with services following at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
