Obituary

Rosetta Sutton, 95, of Indianapolis, passed away May 2, 2014 in St. Francis Hospital. The daughter of James W. and Florida Miracle Dickey, Rosetta was born in Kentucky on January 21, 1919.

A registered nurse, she worked at Harlan County Memorial Hospital and as a private practice nurse, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Black Mountain Baptist Church in Kenvir, Kentucky.

Rosetta is survived by son, David (Linda) Sutton of Indianapolis; daughter, Dorothy Martin of Sidney, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, James R. Sutton and Walter D. Sutton; daughter, Betty Launa Chester; and brother, James W. Dickey, Jr.

Funeral services 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014. Entombment at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
