Roy G. Sutton III, 77, of Greenwood passed away January 13, 2017. He was born December 16, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to Roy Glen Jr. and Margaret Pearl Sutton.

Roy worked as a surveyor for 56 years. He enjoyed bowling with Mike, and researching about the Civil War time period. Roy was a fast pitch softball pitcher for 16 years. His favorite team of all time was the Cleveland Browns.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sharon Sutton; son, Roy Glenn "Joe" (Julie) Sutton IV; daughter, Lisa (Stephen) Schuster and Angela (Michael) Morris; sisters, Clarice (Tom) Purcell and Nilah (Richard) Lange; grandchildren, Alexandra, Chelsea, Brady, Morgan, Mitchell and Tre and great grandchildren, Jemma and Cashel.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11 am at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in the Benjamin Franklin Chapel.
