Rudolph "Rudy" L. Higginbotham, 85, of Indianapolis, died Saturday, August 9, 2008. He was born in Hadley, KY on March 2, 1923 to Philip and Virginia Glenn Higginbotham. He graduated High School from Evansville, IN and then served proudly in the United States Navy during WWII. He was in the Normandy Beach Invasion, Southern France Invasion, and was in the Pacific. He had been employed with Western Electric for 42 years. Survivors include his wife of 8 years: Joan Wilhelm Higginbotham, three children: Donna (Richard) Fuller, Philip (Judy) Higginbotham, Donald Higginbotham, 10 step-children, 5 grandchildren, 20 step-grandchildren, 6 great grand children, 8 step- great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife: Esta Rachel Everheart Higginbotham. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 12, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S.
