Russell D. Lydy, 62 of Greenwood passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. He was born to the late David Allen and Virginia Ruby Lydy.

Russell loved all sports and enjoyed watching Andy Griffith, Matlock and The Price Is Right. He loved all holidays with family. Russell attended Rise Learning Center School.

Russell is survived by eight siblings Martha (Jim) Minks, Ron Lydy, Judy Baum, Theresa Volis, Karen Lydy, Linda Mendel, Tish (Brad) Collier and Barbara Lydy; 16 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews . He is preceded in death by both parents.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. There will be a short visitation on Monday, November 6 at 11:00 AM until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens following the service.
