Mr. Russell Lee "Rusty" Fouts, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Monday, March 3, 2025. Rusty was born July 7, 1963, in Beech Grove, Indiana, a son of the late George Fouts Jr. and Barbara Jean (Van Horn) Yager.
Rusty was a proud graduate of Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis and went on to dedicate over 30 years of his life to the Indianapolis Public Schools system, where he worked diligently until health challenges led to his early retirement.
Before his disability, Rusty lived life to the fullest. He had a deep passion for NHRA drag racing and loved attending events whenever he could. He also found great joy in boating with his brother, creating cherished memories on the water. Rusty was known for his strong bonds with family and friends, always sharing laughter, kindness, and companionship. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Rusty is survived by his siblings, Robert Fouts, Larry (Tina) Fouts, Kathy (Jeffrey) Hawkins, Craig Fouts, and David Fouts. He also leaves behind four nieces and six nephews who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
In addition to his parents, Rusty was preceded in passing by his beloved son, Russell Fouts Jr.; his sisters, Sharon Fouts and Susan Fouts; and his sister-in-law, Kim Fouts.
There will be no public services held and Rusty will be inurned at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at a later date.
