Russell Lee Soots, 56, was born on July 2nd, 1969. He departed from this world December 28, 2025, in the house he turned into a home, surrounded by his beloved family and dearest friends. Russell was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Soots and mother, Wanda Jean Henderson-Cook, as well as his nephew, Jeremy Clinton Duty. He is survived by his wife of nearly 37 years, Deana Soots and two children Hilary Davidson (Brad Davidson), and Logan Soots.  Russ' pride and joy were his two grandchildren, Olivia Davidson and Natalie Davidson. Russ is also survived by his sister, Rayjeana Duty (Patrick Duty) as well as his cousins, nieces, and nephew.

Russell, always a sharp dressed man, was a jack of all trades. There wasn't a skill he couldn't master, or a problem he could not solve. He had a God-given talent of playing the piano beautifully with a soulful, anointed, powerful voice. He was always happy to host family gatherings making sure the house was properly adorned, and the food he prepared was always chef quality. He had a big sensitive heart and was always willing to help in any way especially by praying over people the minute they asked.  One of Russ' best characteristics is how funny he was without even trying. He was quippy, and silly, a comedian in his own right. Russ had a brilliant mind; in fact, he graduated High school at the young age of 16 and went on to lead an extremely successful career. In his dying months; he became an author, writing several books on leadership, relationships, and God's unfailing love. Russ loved to read the Word of God, and in his last days He spent his mornings and evenings in prayer, preparing his heart for the Lord.
