Ruth L. Adams, Greenwood, passed away on the evening of November 30, 2022. She was 98 years old. Ruth was born in Indianapolis to her parents Frederick and Edith Heylmann. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, Class of  1942. Ruth met her husband, Hubert, while working as an organist at Tabernacle Baptist Church. They married in 1944  and shared 63 years of marriage together.
Ruth worked at Link Belt FMC in the Credit Union office and retired in 1978 after 15 years of service. Ruth was a member of many churches throughout her life but most recently, Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. Ruth served as the PTA school #67 President and Treasurer and was the Treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary for Capital District Christian Men's Fellowship. Ruth is lovingly remembered as a gifted pianist and organist. She loved to crochet, solve word finds, and to read. Ruth's family loved her ability to welcome others into her home with delicious food and pies. Ruth was a fabulous green thumb who adored spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. The memories created will be cherished by those she leaves behind.
Ruth is survived by her children Ron (Mary) Adams, Tom (Donna) Adams and Susan (Keith) Levering; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents;  her Husband Hubert Adams Jr; and 4 brothers.
A visitation for Ruth will be held on Wednesday December 7, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be on December 7, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm.
