Ruth Marie (Rettig) Blackwell passed away January 24, 2020.  She was born November 5, 1938 to Howard and Helen (Campbell) Rettig in Indianapolis, IN.  Ms. Blackwell worked for Indian Bell Telephone Company for 29 years and the Indiana Heart Association for approx 10 years.  Ruth loved cats, crocheting, and traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.  Ms. Blackwell is survived by her sons, Russell Blackwell and Jeffrey (Marianne) Blackwell; daughter, Nancy Blackwell; sister Phyllis Dunnaway; grandchildren, Nathan Vanhorn, Abby Saabye, Rachael Ingram, Whitney Blackwell, Edward Blackwell, Rebecca Sadler, and Jennifer Watson; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Helen Rettig; sister Janet Rettig; brother Howard Rettig, and an infant brother.
