Ruth E. Coughenour Cox, 89, of Greenwood, passed away November 6, 2012. The daughter of William and Bessie Love Coughenour, Ruth was born January 7, 1923 in Wellsville, Kansas.

Ruth was a member of the Community Church of Greenwood and Taylor University Alumni Association, from where she received her Bachelor''s Degree. She was a retired medical assistant in Dr. Robert Robinson''s office.

Ruth is survived by sons, Paul R. (Kay T.) Cox of Greenwood and David W. (Dawn Elrod) Cox of Tampa, Florida; daughters, Kathleen M. (David R.) Starling of Noblesville and Esther R. (Alan J.) Latino of Greenwood; sister, Eleanor L. (Robert) Hunt of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Beulah M. Coughenour of St. Petersburg, Florida; grandchildren, Gabriel (Sophie) Cox, Bradley (Tomoko) Latino, Michael Cox, Kyle (Elise) Latino, Jason (Kristen) Latino, Ethan Starling, Rebecca Starling, Courteney Cox and Rachel Cox; great-grandchildren, Hanna Cox, Nola Cox and Noah Latino. Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert L. Cox; infant son, Paul Douglas Cox and brother, Dr. J. Robert Coughenour.

Memorial services 2:00 p.m. November 10, 2012 at Community Church of Greenwood - 1477 West Main Street, where family will receive friends after the service. Entombment: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
