Ruth L. Doan, age 86, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 with her family at her side. She was born to Earl and Lucille (Betts) Richardson in Franklin on January 28, 1927. Ruth was a graduate of Trafalgar High School with the Class of 1945. She married Hayes Doan in 1949 and he preceded her in death in October, 1967. Ruth was a member of Villa Baptist Church, and was a Design Artist for Ransburg/Cosco for many years. She enjoyed painting on glass, making afghans and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Sula Cromer, of Indianapolis, Donna Spain, of Morgantown, and Connie (John) Perrin, of New Whiteland; brother, Earl "Bud" (Phyllis) Richardson, of Waverly; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Catherine Brummett.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with visitation Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
