Ruth Miller Thompson, age 87, died May 9, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital and Health Center in Indianapolis. She was born June 6, 1924 in Indianapolis to Grover C., and Minnie (Jones) Miller. She was 1942 graduate of Emmerich Manual High School.
Ruth married Arthur Thompson Jr. on October 3, 1942 in Beech Grove and they celebrated 69 years of marriage. Ruth is also survived by her son, Leland D. (Cindie) Thompson; two daughters, Brenda Jane (Tom) Sand and Debra Jo (Jim) Niziolek; six grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ethel Daniels and Lorene Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
