Ruth Jean Tipton Beals, 88, of Greenwood, passed away February 14, 2013. The daughter of Raymond and Florence Smock Tipton, Ruth was born May 23, 1924 in Indianapolis.

Ruth is survived by son, Steven A. Beals of Long Beach, CA; daughters, Conni A. Beals of Greenwood, Janet R. (Joe) Oliver of Franklin and Beverly J. Hamilton of Morgantown; grandson, Christopher A. Davidson of Indianapolis. Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by brothers, David, Richard and Joe Tipton and sister, Helen Johnston.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Private family entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
