Mrs. Sally Lou Wilkerson, Mooresville, passed away on the morning of Friday, November 6, 2020. She was 88. Sally was born December 10, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana a daughter of the late Finley Ray and Lillian Maxine (Barnes) Belcher.

Beside being a homemaker and rearing her family, Sally was the Director of the Morgan Senior Citizens Center in Martinsville for 15 years. Sally enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy, playing free cell Solitaire, listening to classical music and animals (especially dogs and birds). Sally and her husband Kenneth were champion euchre players in 1983 at McCormick's Creek State Park.  She also spent much of her leisure time traveling (Ireland was her favorite) and seeing America with her husband in their motorhome. They were members of the All Seasons and Thousand Trails Travel Trailer organizations. Sally was always on the go until her health interfered. But that didn't stop her as she then purchased an electric scooter so she could continue her getting around! She was a member of All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church.

She is survived by her children, Lawrence (Beth) Wilkerson, Christopher (Sherrida) Wiilkerson, Jeffrey (Michelle) Wilkerson, Michaela (James) Curry and Lezlie (Michael) Wood as well as 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in passing by her husband, Kenneth W. Wilkerson.

Sally preferred not to have services. She will be inurned beside her husband at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested those be offered to Riley Hospital for Children or to the Morgan County Humane Society.
