Sandra "Sandi the Barber" Bristow, 80, of Indianapolis passed away April 29, 2021. She was born November 22, 1940 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Raymond and Rosemarie (Greening) Boyd.

Sandra graduated from Roffler Barber School in 1960 and went on to work at a barbershop on 10th street then at the Riley Towers Barber shop for many years where she was privileged to cut the hair of many local and national celebrities. She then went to work at the IUPUI Barbershop, then at Keystone at the Crossing before finally opening her own shop, The Barber, The Hairdresser in Fountain Square before retiring at the age of 73. Sandra was an active member in local churches throughout Indy over the years and contributed to vast charities she held dear to her heart.

Sandra was the mother of four children and adopted one of her granddaughters.

Sandra is survived by her children, Matthew and Melissa; granddaughter Haley; 7 other grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Maureen,  her son, Michael and her loving Aunts.

There will be a short graveside service Saturday, May 8 at 10:45am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143, in the back chapel of the Ben Franklin Mausoleum, with burial to follow at 11:00am.
