Sandra "Sandy" L. Oakley, 79 of Bloomington passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026. She was born to the late Lloyd and Alberta.

Sandy was an avid IU basketball fan. She loved to volunteer at the homeless shelters. She was a simple lady.

She is survived by her two children Michael (April) Thrasher and Lisa (Doug) Plummer; three grandchildren Jessica Wallace, Kesey (Luke) Hall, Alan Thrasher; three great grandchildren Nolea Derossettl, Willow Wallace and Finley Wallace; four siblings Barbara Carter, Teresa Watson, Lawrence Strader and Sue Walker. She is proceeded in death by both parents; husband Phillip Oakley (2002); a son Scott Trasher; granddaughter Ashley Derossett and three siblings Eddie Strader, Carolyn Strader and Pamela.
